Mediation
John is an experienced commercial negotiator, less constrained by conflicts of interest than had he still been with a large firm. This enables him to assist in a wider range of issues for more clients than might otherwise have been the case.
The standard approach to mediation is facilitative, meaning that the mediator preserves neutrality and assists the parties to reach their own conclusions on the matters in dispute. Other mediators prefer evaluative, or at the other end of the scale, transformative methologies. John's approach is to adapt the process to meet the needs of the parties. They come to mediation seeking expert assistance, rather than simply a facilitated procedure, and John has that expertise.
John is on the LEADR and AMINZ mediation panels.
